Local members of the Northwest Earth Institute will be showing a video narrated by Tom Brokaw entitled “Global Warming: What you need to know” which presents effects of Global Warming, and presents possible solutions.

The Northwest Earth Institute encourages the public to attend this free event.

In addition to the video, there will be information on hand about courses that Northwest Earth Institute offers, and an opportunity to sign up for courses offered.
Some of the courses that are offered are: Sustainable Living, Globalization, Healthy Children, Healthy Planet, and Global Warming.

This public meeting will be held Friday, February 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Room of McMinnville Cooperative Ministries, located at 544 NE 2nd Street.

about climate change and interested in what we can do to address it on a local level.

At the 2006 fall neighborhood City Council meetings, local residents
made it clear that maintaining livability is a top priority for our town. We have come to understand that taking proactive steps to
curtail climate change will increase economic health, prosperity, and livability in McMinnville.
Cool Mac is working to inspire our community to take action to reduce carbon emissions by 10% by 2010. We are joining communities across the country and around the world in this effort.
